C'est le pied!!!! / Kick back in Singap!

After a VERY long day at my new job: lots of crying, temper tantrums, many diaper changes, NO napping..... I could not wait for Jonathan to come home early enough.....so I decided to treat my poor tired self to one of Singapore's specialty: Reflexology foot massage......well, this was the best moment of my first 3 weeks in Singap, 30 minutes of paradise! and the good thing is that it's supposed to cure all sorts of diseases, aches and pains!
I think I am going to turn into an addict and get this little guiltless pleasure on a very regular basis!!!!

Madeleine is 2 years old!!!!!

I had decided I would always bake the same cake for Madeleine birthday every year. It started very well last year but this year was a bit of a challenge!!!!!!!!!!!! So here goes the first family tradition..........
I couldn't find a bakery either to buy a little cake so I used what was on hand: 2 ferrero Roche d'Or chocolate given to us by the management to make up for Leopold's crib incident LOL
It tuned out quite well after all and we will go bak to our family tradition next year!!!!

In case you were wondering, she is already acting her terrible two and everything is "MINE"!!!!!!!!

Our trip to the zoo

We were told that the Singapore zoo was amazing.....well, it is true and we only saw a small part of it. So when you come and visit us, make sure we take you there!
Madeleine was SO excited and Leopold was is usual cool self!
We saw some amazing animal I had never seen before.....take a guess and see if you know what this one is!

My new job..........

Being a SAHM (mere au foyer) is a brand new job for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As much as I enjoy spending LTS of time with sweet Leopold and funny Madeleine, I cannot help but keep my laptop on my knees waiting for your emails to cheer me up!!!!!!!!
So off you go send me long emails!

Leopold et Madeleine

Just a few pictures of the children enjoying their new life in Singapore; Leopold is enjoying solid food and he is seating up; Madeleine made a few failed attempts at potty training: she seats on the potty all right but does her business next to it........

Our "serviced" apartment

So, I don't know why they call these "serviced" apartment because everything is crooked and breaks down: the oven, the TV, the DVD player, there is a leak in the kitchen and even the cribs for the children. Last night in the middle of the night I suddenly hear a big BANG: it was Leopold's crib that broke and Leopold ended up in the floor!!!!!!!!!

There is nothing to cook. Not a pot in sight. Oh well, we should be out of there soon enough.

Here are a couple of pictures of our living room view and the pool from our 13th floor window.

As I told some of you there are no parks or playgrounds to take the kids so I have to put them in the stroller and walk aimlessly in the city streets or try to keep them enterteined in the apartment!

Un tres long voyage

In itself, the jorney was quite long but add two kids under two, seven suitcases, a double stroller and 4 hand luggage and it becomes an obstacle course!
Driving down from North Palm to Miami was quite easy as both babies were sleeping! Unloading the rental car and getting in the bus for the terminal was the first challenge. However, Madeleine and her strawberry and cream Starbuks were there to look after our belongings.

In the plane, the Pope, AKA Leopold, got the best seat in the whole plane!

The traditional luggage mess at Roissy did not fail: we had to wait over an hour to get our double stroller! but Madeleine did not care she was busy......

We enjoyed a couple of short days in Paris before lugging all our stuff back on carts to check in at 10.pm......

We finally made it to our serviced aoartment but what a trip!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bye Bye Sanctuary Cove

So here it is, we arrived 6 years ago with 2 suitcases each and we leave Florida with a 20 ft container and 2 children!!!!! Thank God for my ibook and a wifi connection so I can stay connected to the world while moving!
